A century old family business
OUR STORY
In 1921, in the small village of La Rivière-Drugeon,
our grandfather, Omer Romanzini,
settled with his wife Juliette.

Originally a farmer, he worked in his uncle’s snail’s factory in Les Fourgs, where he learned the skills of a long family tradition. As soon as he returned from the war, he decided to found his own snails processing business.
It started as a small seasonal activity of canned snail meat from Burgundy.
The snails were collected locally.
Omer passed on his know-how to the next generation.
And it was in 1963 that his sons, Roland and Daniel,
took over the family business from their father.

In 1969, they started making frozen stuffed snails.
Thanks to their committed, efficient and passionate sales team, the company won a large number of orders from regional wholesalers, as well as its first contract with supermarkets.

The course of events changed and the company's development took off in leaps and bounds.
Roland's children, Olivier and Corinne, joined the family business in the 1980s.
And so began a period of cohabitation within the company, where traditions and family secrets were passed on until 1996, when, after so much involvement, Roland passed the torch to them.
The 3rd generation: between innovation and audacity!

In 2023,
Olivier Romanzini became the company's sole director.
Since then, the company has extended its buildings,
adding new storage areas and loading bays.
We're also investing in new, more modern facilities: the entire refrigeration plant has been replaced and we're going to double our surface area of photovoltaic panels.
These investments will enable us to respond to the ever-increasing growth of our business, particularly on the export market.
